Following in the league of his predecessors, Salman Khan has finally decided to take a personal interest in his production house. One of the problems that has always plagued Salman's career has been his wrong choice of films. In fact, in his bid to support his extended family, Salman has often put himself in the line and made appearances in rank bad movies.
So far, it was brother Sohail Khan who was helming the family production house, but according to sources, after the 'Main Aurr Mrs. Khanna' debacle, Salman has decided to get more pro active on the production side. Just like his peers, Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan, this Khan also is now very keen to take the reins into his own hand. After the success of 'Wanted', the last thing that Salman's career needed was a film like 'Main Aurr Mrs. Khanna'. Coming as it did right after 'Wanted', the film was a real dud for Sallu fans. It seems that one of Salman's plans is to get his father, Salim Khan more involved in the creative side of filmmaking. Incidentally, the production house is called Sohail Khan Productions. It appears that all of this has been a result of the poor show by the production house in recent times, with both their films which released this year, 'Kissan' and 'Main Aurr Mrs. Khanna' faring miserably at the box office. Perhaps, there was a lesson which Salman needed to learn, and that is to market himself more sensibly. And if the news happens to be true, then it will only be a benefit for the production house as well as for Salman. With age not really on his side, like SRK and Aamir, Salman needs to be selective about his roles. Also, by becoming more involved with the production house, he will also start having more of a say in the way Bollywood functions by having a voice in the producers' fraternity, thus joining ranks with the other two Khans.
