Though he is not known exactly for his singing abilities, actor Sanjay Dutt has been known to go behind the microphone. He's done it with Asha Bhonsale and has also recorded a number in Sanjay Gupta's forthcoming Alibaug.

Recently, the actor has agreed to record a song for Aladdin, after some persuasion by composers Vishal and Shekhar. Shekhar has confirmed the news saying that he and Shekhar have spoken to Sanjay and the actor has agreed to sing the song. The music composer is very happy to have Sanju in their project as the actor has a very unusual and different voice. The song is believed to be a very rocking number and very much in keeping with Sanjay's style. The mega-budget film also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Ritesh Deshmukh. The film is scheduled to go on the floors by October end. The actor has a series of films like Sanjay Gupta's Alibaug, Kidnap, Abbas-Mustan's Race lined up for completion before he can start shooting for a new film.
