For some reason, Adoor prefers to release his films abroad. Usually, the films end up winning atleast half a dozen awards and only then do they get released in India.
His new film is no different either.
The film in question, 'Naalu Penungal' has an impressive star-cast- Nandita Das, Kavya Madhavan, Padhmapriya, Geethu Mohandas, Dileep and others. The film was produced by Doordarshan. It is based on four stories written by Thagazhi Shivashankaran Pilla. The film is about four women and incidents that occur in their lives.
It was premiered at the Toronto Film Festival and will be making its way to India only in the month of October.
