Gautham Menon's much expected project Varanam Aayiram has been shelved for the time being as Surya is committed to other projects.
Meanwhile, the director was also on the look out for a short-term project and out came Chennaiyil Oru Mazhai Kaalam.
Trisha, along with a host of new faces, features in this movie, the story of which revolves around IT professionals. Gautham Menon, who was on a hunt for the second heroine, seems to have been helped by the latest flick, Thoovanam.
The young director, who recently caught up with the movie, seems to have been bowled by the heroine – Nethra’s performance. He has now roped her in for the plum role. Nethra portrayed the role of an NRI girl in Thoovanam.
