Ashutosh Gowariker's much awaited epic romance JODHAA AKBAR is slated for a worldwide release on 25th January 2008. The change of release date is due to the fact that JODHAA AKBAR has an extremely demanding post-production schedule.Recalling the impediments, first it was Aishwarya's marriage and the subsequent honeymoon and then the rain-gods adversely affected the shooting of JODHAA AKBAR. Much before that, director Ashutosh Gowariker had a tough time obtaining clearance from the Animal Welfare Board, for the use of elephants and other animals in the film's shooting.
However, Ashutosh is moving ahead like a true fighter. And one must not forget that he faced loads of problems in the making of LAGAAN too. May be, problems are a part and parcel of success in case of Gowariker.
JODHAA AKBAR is a sixteenth century story about a marriage of alliance that gave birth to true love between the greatest Mughal emperor that ruled Hindustan, Jalaluddin Mohammad Akbar, and the fiery young Rajput princess, Jodhaa.
With Hrithik Roshan as Akbar and Aishwarya Rai as Jodhaa, the film is produced by UTV Motion Pictures and Ashutosh Gowariker Productions.
