Washington, Sept 12 (ANI): British TV host Michael Parkinson revealed that he forgot the name of screen veteran John Wayne during a live interview in 1975.
Parkinson recollected the interview and asserted that it was one of the most embarrassing moments of his career.
"There have been times when I've looked at the person I'm interviewing, and they're chatting away, and I can't for the life of me remember their name," Contactmusic quoted Parkinson, as saying.
"It happened with John Wayne. I simply couldn't think of his name, so I stared at my crib sheet and it said 'Duke', which was his nickname, of course, but that didn't do me much good," he added.
Parkinson is set to retire later this year after giving 25 years to television.ANI)
