Heroines aren't the only ones who are falling over themselves to shift to Tamil from Malayalam. Directors too have joined the list

Initially it was Lal Jose who was planning to make a film in Tamil with newcomers in the lead roles. Soon Siddhique joined in (of course Siddhique makes films in Tamil very often, but we are talking about the recent spate of directors from Malayalam shifting to Tamil). Even before Lal Jose started his film, Siddhique went ahead and launched his new one with Prasanna and Kavya Madhavan in the lead roles.

Now, Shaji Kailash too has decided to join the bandwagon. He too has made Tamil films in the past. 'Vaanchinaathan' with Vijayakanth was one of his recent ones. His film with Ajith had nosedived at the box office. This resulted in colossal loss to the producer

This time around, he intends to make a film with newcomers in the lead roles. He has already started searching for the stars.
