Anil Kapoor's maiden production, Gandhi My Father, directed by Feroz Khan has been selected to be part of the prestigious Academy of Motion Pictures Library or the Oscar Library. The script will be there permanently for the reference of cinema students.
The film has come in for a lot of praise from world leaders like Nelson Mandela, President Makebhi and noted novelist and noble laureate Nadine Godimer. The academy is believed to have got in touch directly with Anil Kapoor to get the script. Gandhi My Father joins a long list of Hindi films whose scripts have been procured by the academy's library. According to Anil, the call from the academy was from out of the blue. More and more Bollywood films are now on the international radar and according to Anil, they are now keeping track of what's happening on the Indian motion picture scene.
