Sanjay Gupta has managed to convince poet-lyricist Gulzar to give words to his 10-story film Dus Kahaniyan. Gupta, who is a Gulzar fan, said he had been convincing Gulzar for a long time to be part of his project.

Gupta's persistence finally paid off and Gulzar has agreed to be part of the project. According to Gupta, he will take a look at all the ten stories of Dus Kahaniyan and based on his perception of each story, he will write a suitable poem for each one of them. The poems will be recited by the actors in the respective stories. The actors who are expected to recite the poems are Sanjay Dutt, Nana Patekar, Naseeruddin Shah, Shabana Azmi and Amrita Singh. The director also intends to take out a CD of these poems by Gulzar. The veteran poet-lyricist is also believed to have liked Sanjay Gupta's concept. It would be interesting, he feels, to make his poetry a reflection of the visuals of each of the short stories. Gupta, meanwhile, is hopeful that Gulzar will continue to be part of more films coming out his production house.
