Washington, Sept 16 (ANI): Negotiations between Britney Spears' camp and mmy producers have ended, as Spears has refused to appear on the awards event scheduled for Sept 16, 2007.
Ryan Seacrest, the show's host said that talks are on to rope in the 'Toxic' star.
"I'm trying to figure out how Britney fits into the context of television's biggest night...I don't know anything about it... it's a possible first step," US magazine quoted Ryan Seacrest, the show's host, as saying.
A source said that the idea was "to have her come on and apologize for the VMAs."
However, a spokesperson for Jive, Spears' label, has revealed that Spears will not make an appearance on the awards show.
"Britney Spears has no plans to appear on the Emmys this Sunday," the spokesperson said. (ANI)
