MUMBAI (Reuters Life!) - Slapstick humour has proven to be so popular with Indian audiences that a top Bollywood filmmaker is hoping to find success with a situational comedy involving four friends.
Rakesh Roshan, one of Bollywood's most successful director-producers known for romantic and action films, says he will experiment with "Krazzy 4".
"It is a thorough entertainer but it's not a routine comedy," said Roshan. "It has a social message to give out."
Roshan's last three films were blockbuster hits which featured his son Hrithik, who will not star in the new film.
One of those three, "Krrish", released last year is considered a landmark not only because it was a huge hit but also because it gave Indian cinema its first superhero.
