MUMBAI (Reuters Life!) - Global terrorism has inspired director Apoorva Lakhia to make a Bollywood film which plans to capture the suffering of victims through the eyes of a man who is trapped in a violence-wracked region.
"I will not be pointing towards any community as sensitive towards terror attacks," said Lakhia, whose last film "Shootout at Lokhandwala" on a real-life showdown between police and a Mumbai gang was a hit.
"My film will present the implications of global terror on people," he said, adding that the action film, entitled "Mission Istanbul", would be shot in Turkey, Afghanistan and India.
"The main character is fictional but the events happening around him will all be taken from real terror incidents."
Filming is scheduled to start next month, Lakhia said, adding that he was aiming for a summer 2008 release.
