It is a well known fact that after HUM TUM and FANAA, director Kunal Kohli wanted to sign either Aamir Khan or Shah Rukh Khan for his next film. However, both of them expressed their inability to do so because of their prior commitments. Resultantly, Kunal had to fall back on his ever dependable HUM TUM pair of Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukherjee.

As per the latest, Kunal has already started shooting for the movie, and is going ahead with the portions featuring Rani and other members of the cast. Reportedly, the 'chote nawab', Saif Ali Khan will only be able to join the shooting, sometimes in November, after completing a major portion of his exciting Yash Raj project, TASHAN.
