Neil Nitin Mukesh recently was at the receiving end from Dharmendra during the shoot of Johnny Gaddaar. During an emotional scene in the film, Dharam paaji was supposed to slap Neil. But instead of pretending to slap him, our Punjab da puttar got so carried away that he actually slapped him tight.

Neil was hit so hard that not only did he have tears in his eyes, he also managed the expression required. The director was smart enough to can the shot immediately as a retake would mean Neil getting another tight slap from Dharmendra. Neil confirmed the incident and said that it was a confrontation scene where Dharmendra slaps him. According to him, when he received the slap, he was so stunned that he had automatic tears in his eyes and did not have to take recourse to glycerin. The director loved the shot. Neil is sure glad that there were no retakes for the scene. Right after the scene, Dharmendra is believed to have come up to the newcomer and apologized profusely. Even after pack-up, he stayed back to make sure that Neil was okay.
