Blame it on its unusually loopy curly structure, but Imaad's hair is fast developing an identity of its own. The unit of Dil Dosti Etc has many "hairy' tales to tell about the young actor, who is the son of Naseeruddin Shah.

A crew member recounts how Imaad was the focus of attention during a shoot at Delhi's Daryaganj book market. There was this group of young girls, about 10 to 12 years old, who kept staring transfixed at the actor. After each take they'd consult furiously with each other, all the while never taking their eyes off him. Naturally, Imaad became the butt of many jokes by the unit, who also noticed this. They ribbed him about being the new pre-teen sensation. Finally, there was a particularly long and furious consultation between Imaad's fans which ended with one girl being pushed forward, while the rest of her friends egged her on giggling continuously. As the rest of the crew looked on gleefully, the embarrassed looking girl, made her way upto an equally embarrassed looking Imaad. The unit doubled over with laughter, when the girl asked Imaad if she and her girlfriends could please try on the really cool and funky looking "wig' he was wearing. Much as he might have liked to, Imaad could not oblige his fans this one time.
