After rubbing shoulders with Hollywood sensation George Clooney, actress Sameera Reddy has now befriended Latin American pop sensation Shakira at the ongoing Toronto Film Festival.

The actress, whose dancing skills are well acclaimed, met Shakira at a charity event earlier this week. According to Sameera, the pop diva is extremely shy. Once they had exchanged greetings, the Sameera and Shakira bonded over their penchant for the six-yard India saree and silver jewellery. Sameera, who was wearing a red saree designed by Neeta Lulla for the occasion, says the conversation started with Shakira commenting on her red saree and accessories. Their conversation then veered to subjects as diverse as Indian traditional wear and folk dance forms like bhangra. Later when Shakira took to the stage, she urged Sameera on to the stage and requested her to do some popular bhangra dance moves. Hollywood sensation Matt Damon, who was hosting the event, also joined in the celebration. According to Sameera, Bollywood is quite the in thing in Hollywood. They are extremely curious about our films and all that song and dance. Sameera's film, The Voyeurs, directed by Buddhadeb Dasgupta, is opening at the Toronto festival.
