Ever since he made his debut as a director, Prabhudeva seems to have developed a weakness for Trisha.
His first film starred her in the lead role. The film turned out to be one of the biggest hits of the year. It therefore didn't surprise anybody when he announced that he was going to cast her as the heroine of his new film too. The film, 'Pournami' turned out to be a colossal disaster at the box office.
He then switched to Tamil and remade 'Pokkiri' with Vijay and Asin in the lead. He returned to Telugu with the remake of 'Lagey Raho Munnabhai'. It became one of the biggest flops that Chiranjeevi had starred in.
Now, he is going to make another film, with Trisha in the lead. He had planned to remake 'Pokkiri' in Hindi with Salman and Ayesha Takia, but the film ran into trouble with Salman Khan's arrest and imprisonment. So, Prabhudeva now has time to make a film in Tamil with his favorite heroine. But it looks as if the director just might have some problems with finding a suitable hero for the project.
