Director Raj Kumar Santoshi has put his Ramayan on hold and is planning to start another project soon with his favourite Ajay Devgan. The post production work of Halla Bol is not over yet and the director has already started scripting another film.
So Ramayan with Devgan as Ram and Kajol as his Sita has been put on hold now as of now. According to sources, Santoshi has signed a two-film deal with PVR which is also venturing into distribution as well as film production. One of Santoshi's projects is a single hero project with Devgan in the lead while the second is a two-hero project which may have Devgan playing one of the two protagonists. Meanwhile Santoshi just confirmed that he is talks with PVR for a deal, but refused to divulge details. As for his latest project, it will start early next year once Devgan is through with his maiden directorial venture, U, Me Aur Hum. As for the Ramayan, it has now been pushed to the end of 2008.
