Washington, Sept 18 (ANI): It seems that reports of singer Amy Winehouse's drug and alcohol woes has made James Bond producers drop the idea of having the jazz star sing the upcoming Bond flick's theme song.

Reports said that the 24-year-old was in talks with the Bond franchise to sing the flick's soundtrack and to perform the tune in a smoky club scene.

Composer David Arnold, who penned the soundtracks for the last four Bond films, also hailed Winehouse for having 'the best record of last year'.

"A month ago Amy was thought to be a shoo-in for the theme tune to Bond 22. Her voice and musical style was in perfect sync with what Bond is all about," Contactmusic quoted a source, as telling the Sunday Express.

However, a source has revealed that after reports of the Rehab singer's drug abuse the film's bosses have decided against the idea.

"There was even talk of her having a cameo by performing the theme tune in a smoky club Bond visits - but that's out of the window now,' the source said.

"After all the reports of hard drug use, self-injury and domestic violence, it's fair to say the bosses here aren't keen on the idea," the source added. (ANI)
