Sanjay Leela Bhansali has always worked with the biggest stars of the industry. Even in his debut film as a director, Bhansali cast Salman Khan and Manisha Koirala, both who were at highs in their careers at that time, in Khamoshi. Later he brought together Salman, Ajay Devgan and Aishwarya Rai for Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Shah Rukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit and Aishwarya for Devdas and finally Amitabh Bachchan and Rani Mukherjee for black. So when he decided to make his next film Saawariya with newcomers, it was a bit of a surprise. But then the newcomers were not just any newcomers; Ranbir Kapoor is the next heir of the Kapoor legacy started by Prithvi Raj Kapoor while Sonam Kapoor is the daughter of evergreen Anil Kapoor. Yet to balance things off, Bhansali has also included Salman Khan and Rani Mukherjee in the cast of Saawariya, which marks Salman's third film with the renowned director. Bhansali himself at the recent music launch of Saawariya declared that Salman was his favourite actor. But there is a catch, which Rani Mukherjee very sweetly pointed out on stage; Bhansali also declared that Ranbir was the best actor he has worked with. So looks like Bhansali really knows how to keep both his heroes happy; by making one the best and one his favourite!
