Bharathi Reddy, the producer of Thamiraibarani, is expected to commence his next project quite soon. This decision follows the success of Thamiraibarani.

Dhanush has been roped in for this project, and the film will be directed by Suraj. The female lead is yet to be finalized and the hunt is on, sources say.

So far, the director has churned out action-packed movies such as Thalainagaram and Marudhamalai. Meanwhile, grapevine has it that Dhanush is intending to go for an image makeover and is raring to establish himself as an action hero. Both these factors make it interesting to see what Suraj has in store for Dhanush.

Nevertheless, Dhanush seems to have decided to add a dash of comedy to the action venture. With his funny bone already been established in earlier movies, this could well prove to be a perfect recipe of success for the actor. His earlier attempt, in Sullan, to foray into action movies turning out to be a damp squib, we hope that the actor will play his cards right this time around.
