After much ado about Sundar C’s Porikki, the project has been finally rechristened as Mahamagam. Earlier, it was planned to change the title to “Adhirudhilla” - the famous punch dialogue in Sivaji.

However, the team seems to have felt that this could have an adverse impact on their movie and dropped the idea.

With everyone agreeing on Mahamagam, the team can now concentrate on canning the scenes peacefully. The filming of the movie is proceeding at a rapid pace in various places such as Chennai, Karaikudi and Kumbakonam. With backdrop of the story being set in Kumbakonam, the team says that Mahamagam is a more apt title. Wonder why they did not think of it before!

Mahamagam is being produced by Shakthi Chidambaram on behalf of Cinema Paradise. New entrant Ragini will be seen sharing the screen space with Sundar C.
