Jeeva starrer Tamil M.A. is set to hit the theatres soon while the audio of the film was released some time back.
But unfortunately its audio cassettes or CDs are not available in any outlet. It is not as if the sound tracks have been totally sold out or anything like that. The film is caught in warfare between two audio companies.
Hangama is the name of a new entrant in the field of sales and distribution of audio rights in Tamil films whose growth and development is said to have caused Big Music to act in a most unprofessional manner. It has been reported that Big Music purchases the audio rights of films which has been bought by Hangama at a higher price but does not make an effort to sell or distribute the same. If this trend continues, Hangama may slowly fail in the business which seems to be the sole objective of Big Music. Constant efforts from Tamil M.A. crew and from the music composer to distribute the audio has not yielded favorable results.
Hence to protest against such an unethical practice, director Ram, heroine Anjali, comedian Karunas and music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja will be staging a hunger strike in front of the Big Music office at Nungambakkam this morning. To express his solidarity with the film crew’s goal, actor Dhanush also will be participating in this protest.
