Washington, Sept 22 (ANI): Sir Ben Kingsley and his SBK Pictures will be bringing Christopher Rush's novel "Will" to the big screen after acquiring the rights to the book.
The tome is a fictional account of William Shakespeare's deathbed meeting with his lawyer to discuss his last will and testament.
Sir Ben acquired the rights after making a six-figure deal between SBK and publisher Beautiful Books.
The movie adaptation of the novel is now set to start shooting next year in the U.K with Sir Ben in the lead.
The pic will mark the first production for SBK Pictures, reports The Hollywood Reporter.
Producers on the pic also include partners Valerie Hoffman and Simone Sheffield.
"Christopher wrote the most amazing, literate and entertaining novel I've read in years, and I'm both honoured and excited to be part of bringing 'Will' to life," Kingsley said.
The book was released worldwide on Sept 21. (ANI)
