London, Sept 24 (ANI): Oasis songwriter and guitarist Noel Gallagher's son is not even a week old, but he's already being hailed as a legend by his proud dad.
The musician became a father for the second time after partner Sarah MacDonald gave birth to their first child together on Saturday, Sept 22.
And, just hours after his birth, the little boy - named Donovan Rory MacDonald Gallagher -Gallagher sent family and friends a text stating that his little boy would be a name to remember.
"He shall go by the name of Donovan Rory MacDonald Gallagher and he will be a legend. Give thanks and praise," The Sun quoted him, as stating in the text.
Baby Donovan was born at 11.15am on Saturday at London's Portland Hospital after a seven-hour labour. He weighed in at 7lb 5oz.
However, if it hadn't been for mum Sarah, Donovan would have been named after current Manchester City manager Sven Goran Eriksson who landed in Noel's good books after he turned around the fortunes of the guitarist's favourite club.
"During the pregnancy Noel was calling the bump Little Sven. He said he wanted to name the lad after the City boss. Luckily he's ended up as Donovan," a pal revealed.
And while this is the first child for Sarah, Noel already has some experience in parenting. He has a seven-year-old daughter, Anais, with ex wife Meg Mathews. (ANI)
