Recently a lightman Farukh Sheikh dies on the sets of an ad film starring Hrithik Roshan. On hearing the news, the actor created fixed deposit accounts for the man's three children so that their future could be secured.
The incident took place last month went Farukh feel from a height of 40 feet while setting up the sets along with two other unit members. He wasn't as lucky as the other lightmen who escaped with mere fractures on the leg and the backbone. Farukh died on the spot. When Hrithik heard about the incident he was very upset. A few days later, he called the lightman's children over to his place in Juhu and met them personally. He also told Farukh's brother that he would help them financially. According to the deceased man's brothers, Farukh insisted on climbing to the height even when he was told that it was very risky to do so. The company hasn't paid the family nor has it announced any kind of financial help even though he died while working on their site. Hrithik is believed to have told Farukh's brother to open a bank account for each of the three children and promised to put in money for a fixed deposit for each of them. Since nobody really cares about the fate of ordinary production boys, it says something about the superstar that he took the responsibility to do what he could for the deceased's family.
