Malaikottai is to release on September 28th. Well, it’s about time! Director Bhoopathy Pandian’s much-hyped movie Malaikottai has been making news almost every other day. Expectations for this Vishal starrer are immense, because the young star’s earlier movies have had him wear the 'action hero' garb which he carries off quite well. Malaikottai is yet another action flick [Kanal Kannan, Stunt director] but the difference is that Vishal’s character is not all muscle and brawn. There’s a tinge of humour for added flavor. This is the story of a young lad who comes to Trichy where he meets and immediately falls in love with a beautiful girl. However, she has quite a lot of problems that he helps resolve. Ashish Vidyarthi. Devaraj [Kannada actor], Mayilsamy, Manobala and Kadhal Dhandapani have notable roles to play. The lady in the lead is Priya Mani, who’s demand went soaring with her fantastic performance in Parthiveeran. Will she win another round of applause? We’ll know soon enough. Mani Sharma has scored the music. Na. Muthukumar and Yugabharathi have penned the songs. G. Sasikumar has done the editing while Vaithi is the director of photography. The efforts of this entire team will be on the silver screen for all to view. Let’s hope the movie lives up to the hype.
