Washington, Sept 27 (ANI): Robert Redford is in talks to helm the big screen adaptation of Richard A. Clarke's memoir "Against All Enemies".
The project was being developed by Columbia Pictures, but has now been picked up by Capitol Films.
Redford's deal is pending financing, reports Variety.
The pic is an Iraq War-themed movie set inside the entrenched Washington bureaucracy.
Screenplay has been penned by Jamie Vanderbilt, and centers on Clarke, the counterterrorism adviser to three presidents.
Clarke charged in his book that the Bush administration prioritized Iraq above threats from Al Qaeda both before and after the Sept. 11 attacks.
John Calley and Tracy Falco are producing the pic.
Redford, in the meanwhile, has just finished directing and starring in United Artists' just-wrapped "Lions for Lambs," a thriller set against the backdrop of the Bush administration's war on terror.
The movie also stars Tom Cruise and Meryl Streep. (ANI)
