A Telugu film titled 'Maisamma' is being produced by Rajini's friend Dasari Narayan Rao, to be directed by Bharath.

One would wonder if 'Maisamma' is a Naidu amma, our type of amma, or Amman herself. It is none of these.

In Dr. Rajasekhar's film 'Udambu Eppadi Irukku,' Mumaid Khan did the role of a lady policewoman named Maisamma, a glamorous one at that. This character was a great hit in Telugu!

This was good enough reason for Rajini's friend to launch a film titled 'Maisamma' with Mumaid Khan in the lead. From the small role in 'Vettaiyaadu Vilayadu,' Mumaid Khan has graduated to heroine role.

In 'Maisamma,' Ranjitha plays the role of Mumaid's elder sister who sacrifices for her sister's ideals. Ranjitha swears she would do a round in Telugu, if the film is a hit. She means as a director.

Along with acting, she will double up as an assistant director and proposes to direct a Telugu film soon.
