After accusing Vidhu Vinod Chopra of lobbying for Eklavya, filmmaker Bhavna Talwar now finds herself on a stick wicket as with her unit refusing to support her claim, as she has not paid off their dues as yet.
Talwar, the director of Dharm had accused director Sudhir Mishra of being a good friend of Chopra and alleged that the friendship coloured the selection of India's official entry to the Oscar. However the twist in the tail is that when Bhavna sought to enlist the support of the unit members of Dharm, most of them refused outright to help her. They are very upset with Bhavna and her husband Shital as the couple have not cleared most of their dues and some of them have not even been given credits for the film. In fact, the unit members have started sending smses to make public the fact that they would not support Bhavna till their dues are cleared. Apparently the crew was treated very shabbily. They were made to sign a contract for 42 days but the shoot went on for 70 days. They have only been paid for 42 days, and the remaining days have not been counted. Seems Bhavna has a lot of fires to douse in her own house. Maybe she should concentrate on that.
