Actor Salman Khan is all set to enter the hallowed portal of MadameTussads. The Bollywood actor will very soon have a wax statue of himself at the museum. He will be giving company to Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwariya Rai and Shah Rukh among others.
According to reports, the wax statue will be ready for display by January 2008 and Salam is expected to personally go to London to unveil the statue. Bobby Khan, who is in charge of the Bollywood gallery at the museum, has already spoken to Salman and the actor is reported to be very excited. He will be the fourth Bollywood celebrity to have his statue at Tussads. The actor has a very strong following overseas and is extremely popular. A wax statue of him seemed almost overdue. A formal letter is on its way and once the formalities are over, a team of experts will come to India for his measurements. They will begin work on the statue and a big launch will be held in January next year. Incidentally the craze for wax statues seems to be catching on. West Bengal is soon set to have a wax museum on the lines of Madame Tussads. And the first four statues to be put up there will be that of Dev Anand, Lata Mangeshkar, Suchitra Sen and Uttam Kumar.
