London, October 3 (ANI): Former Smiths legend Morrissey has revealed that he is planning to released a new album next September.
The 48-year-old singer, who opened his 10-day residency at the Hollywood Los Angeles Palladium on Monday, says that he has already prepared the songs for his new album.
"The plan is to make a new album after this tour. It's absolutely written and completely ready," the BBC quoted him as saying.
He revealed the recording for the album would take place in the US, but made it clear that it would not be " ready until 2008".
Morrissey said that though his new album would be inspired from his tours, it would still remain a personal piece of work.
"You are bound to pick up influences," he said.
Morrissey also said that he was "deliciously happy" about his band's 177-date tour, which they will close in Washington on 2 November. (ANI)
