Jeeva is very confident that his hard work in 'Thamizh MA' will pay off. He shares his experiences.
"To describe in Rajini sir's style, acting in this film is like having acted in 7 films. I slogged that much for 'Thamizh MA," he said.
Was it very difficult to act with beard?
"God, don't even ask me. Only I know how much I suffered at the shooting spot, even to eat. The food would spill on to the beard. After all the hard work, I would get home only to toss and turn, unable to sleep. I was so taken up with that character. I would pick up unwanted quarrels with my family. That's because the character I play is kind of psycho."
Does that mean no more bearded roles for you?
"I swear I won't do roles with such get-ups for some years."
After doing a novel character, you are turning to a commercial film in 'Thenavattu'?
"Cinema is like fashion. One has to keep making changes. I am very clear that no two films of mine should be alike. I do not mean to speak too highly of commercial films or to underestimate them."
What about marriage? You are already supposed to be betrothed?
"I have not found it necessary to announce my wedding plans. But I will soon share my happy news."
