The Tamil M.A. team were caught in a web of confusion over the two letters M and A in the title. These two English words have been nagging the producers as they felt that they might not get the tax exemption.

Bowing down to the pressure, the team decided to change the title from Tamil M.A. to Kattradhu Tamil.

And to make their stand clearer, the team had also obtained the censor certificate in the name of Kattradhu Tamil. However, when this issue was taken up at the meeting held at the Producers’ Council recently, it was stated explicitly that the title can be taken to be Tamil for all practical purposes. Quite naturally, the team now regrets their hasty decision. Meanwhile, the movie is all set to hit the theatres on October 5th. According to our sources, the hero of Kattradhu Tamil, Jeeva, will fly down to Malaysia to take part in the premier show to be held there on the same day. And it does not stop at that, as the actor will tour Malaysia for a few days to gauge the reaction of the audience.

Speaking about Kattradhu Tamil, Jeeva said that it has been made on par with Hollywood films. He went on to add that the team intends to showcase the movie at the Cannes Film Festival. However, Kattradhu Tamil is not an outright art film, he stated.
