London, May 10 (ANI): A beach that is believed to have inspired Agatha Christie to write two of her most famous novels was sold for 70,000 pounds on Thursday.
Bigbury Beach that is located in south Devon went under the hammer at an amount double its guide price of 35,000 pounds, the Daily Express reported.
Christie is believed to have written 'And Then There Were None' and 'Evil Under The Sun' while staying at Burgh Island, which is connected to the beach at low tide.
The two-acre plot has also been the setting for dozens of TV dramas. (ANI)
