Actor-producer John Abraham, who has played grey characters in films such as Jism, Dhoom, Zinda, Race 2 and the upcoming Shootout At Wadala, claims that he prefers playing such characters as opposed to a normal and romantic one.
In an interview, 'Action' Abraham was quoted saying that he has played grey roles in many movies and that he likes that space as he doesn't see himself playing a normal and romantic character. He added that he likes his roles to have an edge and that when his character in Race 2 was described as 'bad never looked so good', he felt great about it.
In his next film Shootout At Wadala, John will be seen playing the role of dreaded gangster Manya Surve, who was the first gangster to be shot dead in an official police encounter. The film, which is directed by Sanjay Gupta, also stars Anil Kapoor, Manoj Bajpayee, Sonu Sood and Tusshar Kapoor among other stars.
