London, Jan. 9 (ANI): Padma Lakshmi has revealed her mantra for maintaining her fabulous figure.
The 42-year-old cook-book author wrote on her website that she had a little poem that kept her on track, when she needed to lose weight -"No meat, no sweets, no wheat, no cheese, no alcohol, no fried food," the Daily Mail reported.
The Hollywood actress confessed that she had followed this regimen for the entire month of October and managed to lose weight without doing any exercise.
She admitted that the guidelines were very strict and people couldn't even eat a crumb of toast, but said that it was a healthy and mindful way to lose weight in a small time frame.
The former wife of author Salman Rushdie wrote that white meat like fish, turkey, or chicken breast were acceptable in diet, but there was absolutely no red meat allowed.
She asserted that eating small amounts of potatoes or rice were also fine, but should be kept to a minimum and if people followed this poem for the entire month of January, not only would they feel clearheaded but will also lose weight. (ANI)
