By Joginder Tuteja, Glamsham EditorialBeing realistic continues to be the virtue of Manisha Koirala, who did start her career with quintessential commercial films, but over the years moved on to films that allowed her to take a realistic route. While she is returning to play a leading lady in BHOOT RETURNS, one doesn't expect a 'filmy' outing per se, considering Ram Gopal Varma at the helm of affairs, who has his own distinct style of filmmaking which does defy the set formula time and again.
"The same holds good in BHOOT RETURNS, as well where a very realistic approach has been followed in the story telling. What you see in the beginning is a normal modern family but slowly and steadily you start realizing that there is something definitely abnormal going around there", reveals Manisha, "There is a spirit in the house and the way Ramu has shown it all on screen, it turns out to be so believable that you end up thinking it could happen even to you. You actually become a part of the family. I truly believe something like that is far more interesting than just sitting in the capacity of mere audience and watch the thrill and horror unfold."
She goes on to add, "This is the reason why I like my performance and work in the film since I am not being melodramatic on screen. I don't have to scream and shout, just in order to convey the feeling of being scared and trying to scare people. Everything is pretty much within control in the film."
We hope that indeed is the case when the film plays on screens this Friday.
