The much awaited and most popular third Suvarna film awards were presented on 25th June. Film producer-actor-director Dwarakish, director Prakash, actress Tara and journalist Jogi were the members of the jury.
Puneeth Rajkumar bagged the award for Best Actor for his performance in Jackie, while Radhika Pandit was given the Best Actress Award for her performance in Krishnan Love Story.
Puneeth-Bhavana starrer Jackie was adjudged the Best Film and Shashank got the Best Director Award for Krishnan Love Story.
Avinash received the award for Best Actor in a negative role for his performance in Pruthvi and Raju Taalikote walked away with the Best Comedian Award for Pancharangi.
Rangayana Ragu was awarded the Best Actor in a Supporting role for his performance in Modhala Sala, while Harshika Poonacha was given the award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for Jackie.
The Best Cinematographer award went to Satya Hegde for Jackie, and V. Harikrishna received the Best Music Director award for Jackie.
