Darth Vader's comment - "Luke, I am your father" - in one of the Star Wars films is the most misquoted phrase by film fans, according to a poll. Vader's comment to Luke Skywalker in 'The Empire Strikes Back' has topped the list of the 'movie misquotes'. The poll revealed that 17pct of film buffs thought that Darth Vader said: "Luke, I am your father." However, he actually says: "No, I am your father." "Iconic film lines are part of everyone's vocabulary these days, but it's interesting how years of quoting have had a Chinese whisper effect on accuracy," the Telegraph quoted Darren Bignell, Communications Manager for LOVEFiLM, which conducted the survey, as saying.
