99 Movie Preview

People Pictures' upcoming film 99 which has created quite a stir in B-town (also carrying an interesting tagline - Part Fact, Part fiction, Pure Fun) is all set to arrive on 1st May. Produced by Anupam Mittal and Aditya Shastri 99 is directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK. A comic thriller belonging to the genre of smart crime comedy, 99 stars Kunal Khemu and Soha Ali Khan in the lead along with Cyrus Broacha, Amit Mistry and Simone Singh playing an integral part of the film. The film is also dominated by senior actors like Mahesh Manjrekar, Boman Irani and Vinod Khanna. The music of the film has been composed by multiple music-directors like Ashu, Samir Tondon, Roshan Machado and Mahesh Shankar. Synopsis: 99 is an original story inspired by real events. It is as much ''what could have been'' as it is ''what really happened''. In other words, it is historical fiction - fiction being the key word. It spans a few genres, it is slick, fast-paced, realistic and importantly, very funny. In this ''smart comedy'' set in 1999, all the characters are bound by a common feeling of being stuck at 99 life - just one short of a 'century' - that elusive a thing called ''making it'' in life! 99 is an unpredictable and hilarious ride spread over two cities with colourful characters, unbelievable circumstances, small-time crooks, big-time conspiracies, fateful car crashes, loads of office, a briefcase full of money, a budding romance...and a historical controversy brewing in the background!
