Payel asks Tapur to stop interfering in her personal matters. Gayatri and Pammi mock Suchitra for gifting them with cheap clothes. Gayatri gives the clothes to the maid. Tapur becomes irate with her in-laws for insulting Suchitra. Payel decides to cook for Ratul and asks Shambhu to bring the grocery. She lies to her family that she is cooking for Debraj. However, Gayatri suspects that Payel is cooking for Ratul. Tapur wants to know the reason behind Payel's decision to marry Debraj.
