Don't be trash-talking Jessica Chastain -- but she doesn't take offense if it's all in fun, like Jennifer Lawrence's opening monologue on "Saturday Night Live." Contrary to those dishing about diva behavior among the dynamic duo at the front of the Best Actress pack -- Lawrence is currently the frontrunner, with Chastain only millimeters behind -- they get along just fine. Tired of the media stirring up controversy where none exists, the "Zero Dark Thirty" star got on her Facebook page to put those rivalry rumors to bed with a sweet lullaby.

Of her Oscar rivals and Lawrence in particular, she wrote at around noon ET Sunday: "I think all of the actresses recognized this year have given incredible performances. But more important, they've all shown themselves to be filled with generosity and kindness. I've done two photo shoots with Jennifer Lawrence over the years and have found her to be utterly charming and a great talent. I've told her how beautiful her film work is."

Having been nominated for best supporting actress for the Southern-fried chick flick "The Help" last year, she also said, "I find it very sad that media makes up bogus stories about women fighting in this industry. Filming The Help was the most amazing experience and yet, that is the film I'm most asked about in regards to 'fighting on set'. Why do we support the myth that women are competitive and cannot get along?"

"Serve them chocolate pie," commented Glenn Lanford of Barnesville, Georgia, on Chastain's FB Page. He was referring to the famous act of revenge (and sister solidarity) in "The Help."

Mississippi make-up artist Sarah Pope Cook wrote: "When you guys premiered The Help in Jackson, MS, one thing we enjoyed most about having the opportunity to do you all's makeup was the chance to see you all sitting around the table discussing so many different areas of life and acting like one loving family. Such a special cast!"

FB fan Bill Skaleski of Brookfield, Wisconsin, wrote, "Not surprised this wasn't true, especially since I saw you stop to congratulate Naomi Watts on her role at the Golden Globes."

Pleading with her FB fans, Chastain wrote: "Please don't allow the media to perpetuate the myth that women aren't supportive of each other. Every time an actress is celebrated for her great work, I cheer. For the more brilliant their performance, the more the audience demands stories about women. With support and encouragement, we help to inspire this industry to create opportunities for women. And as we all know: a great year for women in film, is just a great year for film." She signed the post, "xxjes".

The Oscar nominee talked to me for a Yahoo! Movies interview earlier this week about the life lessons she learned from playing highly motivated CIA agent Maya. "I don't like fighting or anything uncomfortable. I want to be liked," Chastain told me, "but Maya doesn't seem to care if she's liked. Or if what she says is going to bruise egos. I have found that playing that role, when something is not right it's OK to say 'no.' Playing that woman and walking in those shoes gave me the confidence to do that."

Clearly, playing Maya has rubbed off on Chastain in a very good way and she's not afraid to speak out -- and her fans are listening.
