Set for second innings

Here's a list of Top 10 actresses who are all set for their second innings at the box-office

The times are changing and Bollywood is also in a state of flux. Earlier, the shelf-life of an actress was limited where an actress was as good as her last box-office release. Those who got an extension were relegated to the background and had to play the role of a mother or sister to the co-star she had romanced few years ago. Not anymore as this year marks the return of the 90s heart throbs who are looking better and fitter than ever. Here's our list :

Sridevi: With occasional ramp walks and a few outings at social dos, the actress has been a photographer's delight with her super toned figure, all thanks to power yoga and umpteenth cups of green tea. Sri is all set to make a comeback in a film titled 'English Vinglish' which is being directed by Gauri Shinde, wife of R. Balki  of 'Cheeni Kum' and 'Paa'

Madhuri Dixit: After ruling the roost for a decade, Madhuri bid adieu to films and happily settled in US, post-marriage. But her comeback film 'Aaja Nachle' was a dud and she went back to the US to nurse her wounds. However, now, she is back with a vengeance and if rumours are to be believed, she is busy reading the script of 'Dedh Ishqiya'. In the meanwhile, she has signed up as a judge for the reality show 'Jhalak Dikhla Ja'.

Karishma Kapoor: She has taken over the 'size-zero' mantle from her sister and is looking gorgeous than ever. The mother of two is busy working out and eating right big-time. Contrary to popular belief, 'Dangerous Ishq' wasn't supposed to be Karishma's comeback film as the script was written way in advance. However, things fell into her flap and worked out well for her. in the film, Karisma plays a super model who gives up her career to marry the man she loves. And if you can't wait to find out what 'Dangerous Ishq' is about, here's Vikram Bhatt's tweet: "her fiancé is kidnapped by an enemy who has been chasing her through many lifetimes…to find out who she must find out about her lives (sic)."

Raveena Tandon: After playing the considerate judge in a reality show and a cameo in Amitabh Bachchan starrer 'Buddha Hoga Tera Baap', the actress is all set for her real comeback in 'Gin Liya Aasman'. The film is directed by Rishi Deshpande and produced by Mudassar Aziz, Anil Bohra and Vishwajit Gaikwad. Raveena plays the mother of a six-year-old boy whose father, a naval officer has been missing since a plane crash.

Kajol: Kajol's short hiatus from Bollywood saw her comeback with Kunal Kapoor's 'Fanaa', opposite Aamir Khan. The film was a box-office success and gave her the Midas touch for the films she subsequently chose to do. Now, the actor is the face of many endorsements and is busy with her son Yug. If sources are to be believed, it will be another year before she announces to be a part of any film.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan: While she is perfectly happy playing a hands-on mom to her daughter, rumours are rife that the actress is making a comeback with not one, but two films opposite Shah Rukh Khan- 'Happy Birthday' to be directed by Sriram Raghavan and 'Bajirao Mastani' by Sanjay Leela Bansali.

Esha Deol: Despite having both her mother and father's backing, 'Tell Me O Khuda' failed to resurrect Esha Deol's career. Esha has been missing from the marquee for the last few years and unhappy with the way her daughter's career was shaping up, mother Hema Malini decided to produce a movie for her. The film tanked and Esha got engaged to long-time boyfriend. Perhaps, a better career option.

Preity Zinta: After few occasional cameos for her Bollywood friends, the actor has now set up her own production company PZNP. The actress will be seen in 'Ishkq In Paris' and if sources are to be believed, it is inspired from a critically acclaimed Hollywood movie 'Before Sunrise' starring Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy in the lead roles.

Neetu Singh: After avoiding the limelight for 26 years, the stunning actress was seen playing wife to real-life husband Rishi Kapoor in ‘Love Aajkal’. She had no plans of returning to the sets again when Habib Faisal came to her with the script of ‘Do Dooni Char’. Neetu loved her role of a Punjabi housewife from Lajpat Nagar that she immediately agreed. The film was critically acclaimed.

Sarika: After playing wife to Kamal Hasan and being a full-time mother, Sarika made an impressive comeback in 'Parzania' which was based on Gujrat riots. Touted as one of the most defining film on the riots, this saw Sarika giving out a heart wrenching performance.
