  • ‘Girls’ pulls off a comedy upset at the Golden Globes

"Girls" rule, every other comedy drools at the 2013 Golden Globe awards.

The acclaimed HBO show pulled off major upsets in its first year, winning Best Comedy and Best Comedy Actress for Lena Dunham.

"Aaagh!" Dunham screamed as she took the top comedy award. "I'm standing here with the greatest collaborators anyone could ever ask for."

"Girls" beat last year's winner, heavyweight "Modern Family," as well as "The Big Bang Theory," "Episodes," and "Smash."

When Dunham herself triumphed over Globe co-hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Zooey Deschanel, she said all of them helped her get through "middle school, mono, and a ruptured eardrum." (Fey later pretended to be offended by the middle school mention.)

  • Dear Golden Globes: Kristen Wiig and Will Ferrell should host next year’s ceremony

The search for the 2014 Golden Globes hosting gig is over before it ever began. The hilarious duo of Kristen Wiig and Will Ferrell tore it up while presenting the Best Performance By An Actress In A Motion Picture – Comedy Or Musical, cracking up both the room's A-list stars and the Twitter audience.

The two former "Saturday Night Live" stars were laugh-out-loud hilarious as they crept out on stage appearing wide-eyed and awed by their surroundings. Wiig uttered a few "oh-my-goshes," while Ferrell craned his head around like a curious puppy.

"The Golden Globes has asked if each presenter would watch all of the films in their category to have an appreciation of these amazing performances … which I did," Ferrell said. "I totally watched them."

Did Wiig also watch, he asked. "Ye-es. Yes! Not a big deal."

They began (incorrectly) recapping each performance, from Emily Blunt in "Salmon Fishing in Yemen" to Jennifer Lawrence in "Silver Linings Playbook."

  • Claire Danes shows off post-baby body at Golden Globes

And the winner of Best Post-Baby Body is … Claire Danes!

After giving birth to a baby boy just one month ago, the "Homeland" star looked stunningly svelte in a low-cut, red-hot Versace gown at the 2013 Golden Globes, which she tried on for the first time the night before.

"They did a miraculous job," she told E!'s Ryan Seacrest of the Versace team. "I've been in sweatpants for quite awhile, so this is exciting."

In the halter-style dress highlighting her slim waist, Danes looked "amazing," according to E!'s Kelly Osbourne.

The last time Danes walked the red carpet, it was at the Emmys in September, when she was six months pregnant. She walked away that night with the trophy for Best Actress in a Drama and since then, "Homeland" has exploded in popularity, racking up record ratings for its second season.

The third season, which Danes and the rest of the cast finished filming in late November, will premiere September 29.
