Why Saif got sunburnt

Saif goes to extreme lengths to achieve an authentic look for Bullett Raja

Saif Ali Khan who is essaying the role of a rural and raw gangster based in the state of UP for Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Bullett Raja has been going the extra mile for this film, in a most unique manner.

Our little birdie from the film set tells us that the actor was required to get a tanned look for his earthy son of soil character and to get into the crux of it, Saif Ali Khan sat outside his van during afternoons to get the natural tan instead of pancake.

A source close to the team said, ‘Saif really puts in a lot of effort to get into his character. Tigmanshu wanted a certain tanned look since he is playing the role of a rural gangster. When Saif learnt this, he decided that instead of the makeup he would sit outside his van in the afternoons to get the natural tanned look. We all told him that it was not necessary to do that as it was really scorching hot, but he did not listen to us.”

Bullet Raja is based on the Uttar Pradesh mafia and will be a complete action entertainer and also stars Sonakshi Sinha and Jimmy Shergill. So get ready to witness the bloody badlands of director Tigmanshu Dhulia as Bullett Raja releases this September.

When he made his debut in 1993, Saif Ali Khan was a lanky 23-year-old with long hair, strong accent and no great acting skills. Today, he is still strongly accented with a six-pack body and a body of work worth writing about. But his 19-year long career has swung wildly giddy highs and abysmal lows.Just when the media wrote him off after a spate of average films like 'Aarzoo' and 'Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega', Saif swung back as a strong supporting actor in 'Dil Chahta Hai'.Though his magnum opus 'Agent Vinod' with lady love Kareena Kapoor and ‘Race 2’ failed to impress the audience or the critics, Saif is unfazed. This time he is back as a Russian mafia lord,Boris the Zombie Hunter in Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK’s next film, ‘Go Goa Gone’ less
