Red
"Red lips tend to bleed easily, so always dot it with a red pencil and then fill in colour, says celeb make-up artist Namrata Soni. Start by exfoliating your lips and use a concealer to make it a single tone. "Dust loose powder and re-apply colour to make it last longer.

Pink
A recent study by Manchester University reveals that men spent 6.7 seconds staring at women wearing pink lipstick. "Women who simply wear lipstick regardless of their lip typesecure significantly greater levels of attraction than those who do not, says Dr. Geoff Beattie, who headed the research.

Berry
Berry lips are fierce this season. The key to wearing it, however, lies in keeping the rest of your face fresh and dewy. Pick your shade keeping your skin tone in mind. Sheer darks suit fair skin, while mediums tones should opt for richer berries.

Orange
A bright tangerine pout is perfect for days when you don't feel the loud red lippie. Ace this tricky shade by matching your lipstick with a neutral liner instead of a tangerine one. An equally bright liner might clash with your lipstick, making it appear darker. Unless you're a lipstick pro, fill in colour using a lip brush. Apply, blot, repeat. Thrice.
