Aamir Khan is the real kissing star of Bollywood!

By Enkayaar, Glamsham Editorial

While Emraan Hashmi may have been accorded the title of a serial kisser by all and sundry, it is Aamir Khan indeed, who should be accorded the status of the original kissing actor of the Hindi cinema. With his yet to be released film P.K. making entering into record books as being the film with the longest kiss between Aamir Khan and Anushka Sharma, it is one feat that could be difficult to emulate, as among the troika of the Khans he has been the only star who has been practicing with this genre since the time he made his debut in QAYAMAT SE QAYAMAT TAK. It indeed is an opportune moment to relive those moments of intimacy or rather the moments of lip-locking that Aamir Khan has been a party to on the screen.

QAYAMAT SE QAYAMAT TAK: During the mid-eighties, when the moments of intimacy were depicted on the screen by entwining the plants, QSQT took a monumental step forward and projected on-screen kissing between Aamir Khan and Juhi Chawla, though in a silhouetted manner as full mouth kiss still had to wait a decade before it could make its presence felt on the screen.

LOVE LOVE LOVE: Aamir Khan again indulged in kissing scene and again the actress was Juhi Chawla. As a matter of fact Juhi Chawla could have had the distinction of being the actress who was kissed maximum number of times on screen by Aamir, QSQT, LOVE LOVE LOVE, ISHQ and HUM HAIN RAHI PYAR KE.

JO JEETA WAHI SIKANDAR: The kissing scene in JJWS where he locked lips with Pooja Bedi and the scene became the turning point of the movie as thenceforth the animosity between the two colleges became more accentuated, while Ayesha Jhulka also lost faith in Aamir's character was the turning point of the film. As a matter of fact the scene where the film end, where Aamir kisses the cup and Ayesha is ecstatic to receive it by proxy was the high point of the film.

RAJA HINDUSTANI: Before the record breaking feat that Aamir Khan has entered into with Anushka Sharma for P.K., it was the famous kiss of RAJA HINDUSTANI which seemed like on a continuous mode was the longest kissing scenes picturised on the silver screen, and it was done more than a decade ago, when on screen kissing still was a taboo.

RANG DE BASANTI: In RGB the kissing scene between Alice Pattan and Aamir Khan again was a high point for the film.

3 IDIOTS: To give a different connotation to the art of kissing Raj Kumar Hirani had given it the nuance that when one kisses the nose does not come in between, and it was accentuated 3-4 times during the movie.

May be, the directors who work or have worked with Aamir Khan had the confidence in him to experiment with the genre of kissing, as Aamir Khan does not shy of doing things which others may feel inhibited to do so, and so he would not have thought twice to be a part of scene in Hindi film in P.K which is going to be the longest kissing scene ever picturised? Would Emraan Hashmi be able to beat the record?
