By Urvi Parikh, Glamsham EditorialAbhishek Bachchan seems to be unaffected with the speculations regarding his upcoming film DHOOM 3, being touted as Aamir Khan's film. Abhishek, who is reprising the role of ACP Jai Dixit along with his co-star Uday Chopra as Ali, has been a constant feature ever since the franchise came into existence.
"DHOOM doesn't need any star. It doesn't need Aamir (Khan). Infact it doesn't need me. Today DHOOM has thankfully become a franchise in itself," feels the actor. He goes on to add, "DHOOM is my film and I am the hero of the film and nobody can take it away from me. You can be the biggest or smallest star, but DHOOM is about Jai and Ali. It is as simple as that. If you take Jai and Ali out, it won't be a DHOOM. I know that and the audience too knows about it."
Since Aamir and Katrina are largely seen promoting the film, ask him if he feels being sidelined from the film's promotion, and he says, "Why should I feel sidelined? I am in the film. You can't take me out of the film. And regarding marketing, I think you are asking the question to a wrong person. You should ask it to people who decide the marketing strategy, which evidently isn't me. It's the production. Wherever they ask me to show up I come. It's my film and obviously I am going to stand by it."
DHOOM 3 stars Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif, Abhishek Bachchan, Uday Chopra and is all set to release on December 20, 2013
