Aditya Narayan may not have a huge fan base like the A-listers, but the singer and actor has been climbing the popularity chart by donning various hats. After singing, acting and hosting a reality show in the past, Aditya has now forayed into filmmaking as an Assistant Director to Bollywood Producer-Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali on his magnum-opus RAM-LEELA starring Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone.

Owing to his background, it came a bit of a surprise to see him assist SLB on RAM-LEELA. But Aditya has a different take to this and says, "My father is the least filmy person you will come across. He is the simplest person, very dedicated to his work, down to earth and very humble. So even if you give him the best of the things he will refuse it. So for me I have never felt like a star's son."

Coming from a filmy family, was it difficult for Aditya to convince SLB? and the effortless charmer says, "I met Sanjay Sir during my show X-Factor. After the show I told him that if you are directing a film I would like to assist you. So he laughed at me because he thought that I was joking. He thought I would come for two hours on the set, sit for music sessions, act and leave. He didn't expect me to work much. I had to pursue him for a couple of weeks and then he said ok, come." He further added, "It was amazing to work with Sanjay Sir. I worked as a regular person. I would take print-outs, call actors from their vanity vans and sit on the shot division, sit on music sessions with him."

And now that it has been two years of tremendous hard-work with Bhansali, Aditya has an altogether different experience to share. He says, "Sanjay Leela Bhansali is the biggest director we have today who has been directing for more than two decades now. He doesn't joke around with making films. He is meticulous with his team just like a machine. He has worked his butt off in the film. I think this is his best film till date. And that is a big thing because he has made some of the best films. But with RAM-LEELA he has surpassed himself as a filmmaker. I think he has re-invented himself with the movie."

Ask him if RAM-LEELA would be able to achieve the100-crore feat, and the SHAAPIT actor says, "RAM-LEELA is an out-an-out commercial film. It's very much Bollywood and very much worthy of being into the 100-crore club. Not only should it gain critical acclaim but also be a box-office spinner because there are big names involved in it - Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and of course Sanjay Leela Bhansali."

RAM-LEELA releases on November 15, 2013.
